NHL playoff watch standings updates

Some rivalries in NHL last for decades. Boston BruinsMontreal Canadiens, Chicago BlackhawksDetroit Red Wings, New York RangersNew York Islanders, etc. However, some of the most terrifying players in the league have emerged more recently, like the one between the Florida PanthersAnd Tampa Bay Lightning.

Although the two Florida teams might seem like natural rivals at first glance, the clubs haven’t reached their peak competitive cycles together until the last few seasons. Their games are now a must-watch for hockey fans. This includes the 2021 Stanley Cup playoffs’ first round series, as well as tonight’s game.7 ET, ESPN+ and Hulu).

Both clubs are playoff bound and this could be a preview to a second-round matchup, if the Panthers win the East’s 2nd wild card (currently, the). Washington Capitals), and the Lightning take care of the Toronto Maple Leafs. However, we are certain that nobody will be thinking so far ahead as their counterparts on the other end of the ice tonight.

As we approach the end of the 2021-22 regular-season, it’s time for us to review all the playoff races and the teams that are vying for positions in the 2022 NHL draft lottery.

You can race for the No. The No. 1 pick

To determine the order in which the teams finish in the first round of the NHL draft lottery, the No. 1 selection is not guaranteed to the last-place team. 1 selection. If a team wins the lottery in 2021, it can move up a maximum 10 spots. This means that only 11 teams will be eligible for the draw to win the No. 1 pick. Full details on the process can be found here. The 2022 draft lottery will take place on May 10.

Notes on the impact of conditionally traded picks on the top 16

  • Chicago will pick Columbus’s first-round selection if Chicago doesn’t win one of the two 2022 draft lottery draws. The pick will be deferred to 2023 if Chicago does not win either of the two draws in the 2022 draft lottery.

  • If Buffalo isn’t among the top 10 picks, Vegas will get Buffalo’s first-round selection. The pick is deferred to 2023 if the pick falls outside of the top 10.
