Ohio State Highway Patrol issues Myles Garret a citation, stating that Myles Garrett drove at an “unsafe speed” before the Cleveland Browns crash

BEREA, Ohio — Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett He was issued a citation “failure of control his motor car” following Monday’s single vehicle-crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol released this statement to ESPN.

Highway patrol stated that Garrett was also traveling at an “unsafe pace for the type of road” he was on. This contributed to the accident. ESPN’s crash report revealed that Garrett was speeding at 65 mph while driving on a road with 45 mph speed limits.

After his car veered off the road, the star pass rusher sustained a shoulder strain and a biceps strain. He also suffered cuts and bruises. Garrett rested Wednesday at home, but Browns coach Kevin Stefanski stated that he expects the three-time Pro Bowler back at Browns’ training facility on Thursday morning.

Stefanski has not ruled Garrett out Play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

Garrett, 26, was released Monday night from Akron Hospital in Ohio after the crash. According to the team, he has passed concussion protocol.

According to the highway police, Garrett struck a ditch near Wadsworth Ohio after leaving the roadway. After hitting a fire hydrant, Garrett then overturned several times before his car came to rest. A passenger in the vehicle, a female passenger, was also taken to hospital with what were described minor injuries.

Highway patrol stated that impairment by drugs and alcohol is not suspected. Garrett and the woman were both wearing seat belts.
