Peacock will stream the Kansas City Royals-Detroit Tigers match without any announcers

Sam Flood, executive producer at NBC Sports, realizes that broadcasts of games without announcers have only been attempted a few times. Flood hopes to host the July 3 match between the NBC Sports executive producer Sam Flood. Kansas City Royals And Detroit Tigers Peacock will reverse this trend.

Peacock won’t have any announcers at the booth to cover the streaming coverage of the AL Central matchup in Detroit’s Comerica Park. Instead, reporters will be taking fans around the ballpark to view the game from different angles.

“The whole idea is to treat a different game. Flood, the network’s president and chief production officer, stated that the network will take fans to the ballpark. We just want to make it the best fan experience possible and treat everyone as we would. It’s an American holiday weekend. We’re going be a team and treat baseball the same way that fans treat us.

Ahmed Fareed, a reporter and host of MLB Sunday Leadoff, is joined by Craig Monroe (Bally Sports Detroit analyst) and Britney Eurton (NBC Sports).

A broadcast may include fans in the stands. The broadcast could also include a discussion with scouts about what they want to see during games. A Little League player will announce the lineups.

“One of the goals for the Peacock Game was to celebrate the game, the players, and all that makes it special. Fareed explained that the Peacock game is a way to celebrate all things that make baseball so special.

Peacock has a chance to express itself creatively in the matchup between Kansas City, Detroit (both under.500). Mets, Yankees Oder Dodgers.

Peacock doesn’t release streaming numbers for the MLB Sunday Leadoff package. Fareed however stated that players and fans have learned how to adapt to games starting at 11:30 AM Eastern.

“I do believe that there is something unique about an early morning or late afternoon game. This is partly because, I think, that window for sports has become a prime viewing window for sports, partially because of the Premier League, this past season,” he stated. “If I had kids, my day would be shifted more towards the morning than it is at night.”
