Philadelphia Phillies activate OF Bryce Harper from injured list

Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies has been activated from the injured list and will bat third on Saturday.

Harper was placed on the 10-day injured list on May 25 due to a bruised left forearm.
Prior to being placed on the injured list, the slugger had been hitless in 16 at-bats and had been held out of the Phillies' lineup for the previous two games.

Harper was leading the team with a.489 slugging percentage before going on the IL, with 15 extra-base hits and seven home runs, but the slump has reduced his OPS to.884.

The Phillies also placed closer Hector Neris on the paternity list in a separate move.

Philadelphia has lost four of its last five games and is currently in the midst of an eight-game homestand that will conclude Saturday afternoon against the Washington Nationals.
