NASHVILLE TENNESSEE — The Nashville Predators Signed forward Yakov Trenin After arbitration, Friday was the day that the two-year contract valued at $3.4 Million was signed.
Trenin, 25 years old, is coming off his best yet, setting career highs with 80 games played and 17 goals scored. He also had 33 blocked shots, 191 hits, and 24 points. Teammate Tanner JeannotTrenin was one of six NHL players to have at least 191 hits last season and 17 goals.
The Russian forward was 6-foot-2 and 201 pounds. He scored 13 points more than his rookie season in 2020-21. This tied Matt Duchene For the most playoff series goals. Trenin has five goals from 10 career playoff games.
Nashville drafted Trenin in the second round, with the 55th overall selection. Trenin has played 146 professional games since his debut with Nashville in the 2019-20 year. He was also part of the 2017 World Junior Championship for Russia.
