As they won a bonus-point win of 30-14, Harlequins were beaten by Wasps.

Heather Cowell’s attempt put Harlequins ahead, but Wasps responded quickly with scores from Maud Muir and Ellie Boatman.

Abby Dow scored in the second period to secure an emphatic win. Rosie Galligan, however, scored for Quins at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

The second-placed Bristol Bears were unable to maintain pressure on Saracens, as they lost 26-26 against Loughborough Lightning.

Hannah West, Jasmine Joyce and Rownita Marsston all came down to give the Bears a 26-12 lead at halftime at Shaftesbury Park.

However, the visitors pulled off a spectacular comeback thanks to Lark Davies’ and Charli Jacoby’s tries. They won with just seven minutes left.

The Exeter Chiefs moved up to third place above Quins as they scored 14 tries against the DMP Durham Sharks in a 90-7 win.

Sandy Park saw Jennine Detiveaux score a hat-trick in the first half and four tries all around.

On Sunday, Saracens will host the second-bottom Sale Sharks.
