Steven Luatua is the first to make a start for Bristol since March, when the team hosts Gloucester at the Premiership’s Westcountry derby.

Six changes were made to the team following their last league match.

Gloucester chooses an unaltered starting 15 for the team beat Northampton in the European Challenge Cup.

Gloucester is currently in seventh place and still looking for a top-four finish.

Bristol has lost four Premiership matches, and is now 10th in the league. They also haven’t qualified for the European Champions Cup after being defeated by Sale last week.

Gloucester is seven points behind Exeter, fourth in the table. However, they have a game to play. Chiefs still have a game on their hands.

The Cherry and Whites won only one of their five previous league games.

Luatua fractured his wrist during the Premiership defeat to Harlequins 23 March. He was replaced in Bristol’s European matches against Sale.

Fricker is now almost fully recovered from his chest injury, which left him virtually unfit since December. Lock Holmes was last seen for the team in February.

Morahan shifts to fullback, and Piers O’Conor joins Fricker on the wings. Prop Jake Woolmore is back in the front row, while Sam Jeffries joins Luatua.

For Gloucester, Ollie Thorley is the Winger and Charlie Chapman is at half-back. This is his fifth Premiership start of the season.

Andrew Davidson was one of the replacements.
