London Irish won a thrilling victory over Newcastle Falcons to move off the bottom of Premiership.

At the break, the Exiles led six to one. James Stokes’ attempt and two penalties by Paddy Jackson made it six points clear. However, the Exiles fell short of the goal at 17-13 in the second period.

Jackson ignited a comeback by scoring a try to increase his haul of 19 points, just before Lucio Cinti Lucia crossed twice on either side of Adam Coleman’s try.

The Irish have now won five consecutive defeats with the bonus-point win.
