A game is often played over the weekend. Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ Tom BradyGoldin Auctions sold jerseys from the late 2020 season for $480,000 (including buyer’s premium).

It’s the highest price ever paid for an NFL game-used jersey.

Notable is the inscription on the jersey’s rear. Brady wrote “G.O.A.T.” beneath the game’s date (GAME UPDATE 1-3-21) as well as his stat line (26/41/399 YDS 4 DDS).

It could have been a sign that Brady may have gotten used to being called G.O.A.T.

This game took place in the final week for the 2020 regular season. It was a 44-27 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Brady signed his name on the “1” adjacent to a reminder of what happened a few months later: “SB LV MVP.”

Brady has been named Super Bowl MVP five times, but he has not won the league MVP award since 2017. On Monday, Bruce Arians, Tampa Bay’s head coach, stated that Brady would not win the league MVP award this year.

Brady led the league this season in passing attempts, completions and yards.
