Rodrigo Martinez, Wasps’ prop, will likely be out for the remainder of the season because of an Achilles injury.
The 23-year old Argentina international was only signed up in December and sustained injuries in warm-up before Sunday’s win over Saracens. He is expected to be out for six more months.
John Mitchell, Wasps attack Coach, stated that they truly feel for him. “He is very focused.”
Exeter will face the Wasps on Saturday at Sandy Park
Martinez has been awarded three caps for Argentina and was most recently capped against France in November. Martinez was also signed to cover Ben Harris’ injury.
Mitchell said that he now has to go through a difficult period of rehabilitation. I have only known him for a very short time. I believe he will be strong and find great purpose.
“We will see him again in Wasps colours, not in the immediate future, but in the next six months hopefully.”
