Denver Broncos quarterback Russell WilsonHis tenure with the team is not off to the sparkly start many anticipated. Through three games, he has only completed 59% of his passes, which have resulted in 743 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. The Broncos are currently 2-1 but the offense isn’t finding its rhythm yet.

Manning claimed that Denver should have “paid this punter.” [Corliss Waitman] Russell instead of $235 Million” refers to the $245 million contract extension Wilson was presented by the Broncos earlier in the month. The clip quickly went viral on social media.

Wilson heard Manning’s rant and responded with his own Wednesday. He spoke at an afternoon newsconference about his head to head record against Manning.

If you don’t know, “Chad Powers,” is Manning’s alias. he disguised himself as a walk-on At a Penn State Nittany Lions Football tryout. Wilson remembered correctly his games against Chad Powers — he beat Manning and his Giants in 2013, 2014, and 2017.
Manning stated Tuesday that he wasn’t trying to be critical of Wilson’s comments.
“I don’t try to take a shot at anybody. It was an outrageous joke, as a punter would have 10 punts. Russell has nothing against it. He’s going do great.” Manning told Front Office Sports.
The offense scored nine points in Denver’s game against the 49ers and punted the ball ten times. Waitman had an impressive day. He averaged 47.6 gross yard per punt, and landed six kicks within the 49ers 20-yard line. Two of Waitman’s punts hit the 5-yard line. One resulted in a Broncos touchdown that gave momentum. Wilson threw 184 yards and no touchdowns in Sunday’s win. He also had a QBR (32.9).
