The Little League World Series has begun, and 2022 marks the 75th anniversary.
There’s even more to the fun, with this being the first year of tournament expansion. The number of Little League Baseball World Series teams (LLBWS), has increased to 20, and the Little League Softball World Series team count (LLSWS) has increased to 12.
ESPN’s coverage starts Aug. 4 with regional tournaments for Little League Baseball, and Little League Softball regional tournament coverage begins July 23.
The LLBWS tournament will be held in Williamsport (Pa.) on August 17. It is concluded with the United States and International finals Aug. 27 and the LLBWS Final Aug. 28. The LLSWS tournament is from Aug. 9 to the final on August 15.
The MLB Little League Classic will be held at Bowman Field in Williamsport on Aug. 21st.
