Diggs was temporarily out of practice during training camp as he finalized an insurance policy that he wanted to provide financial protection in the event of a new contract.
Before his injury on Sunday, he had had three tackles, one for loss.
Sunday’s scene was somewhat reminiscent to what happened with Earl Thomas in 2018, Diggs predecessor at free safety. Thomas, who tried to negotiate a new deal with Seahawks during the offseason but was unsuccessful, fractured his leg at State Farm Stadium, Week 4.
