The Seattle Seahawks Tampa Bay BuccaneersThe NFL announced Wednesday that the first ever regular-season game in Germany will be played in Munich on Nov. 13.
The game starts at 9:30 AM. ET kickoff. Tampa Bay will be the home team.
This will be their fourth international game. They lost to the London Magic in their three previous London games. New England PatriotsIn 2009, Chicago BearsIn 2011, the Carolina PanthersIn 2019.
This will be the Seahawks third international regular season game in franchise history. They beat the Buffalo BillsIn Toronto, 2012 and the RaidersLondon 2018
Seahawks linebacker is a German-born player Aaron DonkorAs part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program, Donkor was assigned to Seattle last season. Donkor, who hails from Achern (about 200 miles west than Munich), spent the 2021 season with Seattle’s practice squad. Donkor was granted an additional roster exemption by the Seahawks this week.
In February, The NFL announced it would play four German games over the next four years. Two in Munich and Frankfurt will be included.
