Six Nations 2022 – England’s Joe Marchant will begin at 13 against Italy

Joe Marchant will play outside centre against Italy on Sunday, in one of eight changes made to the starting XV which lost to Scotland.

Twice-capped Harry Randall will replace Ben Youngs as scrum-half. Jack Nowell will take the spot on the left wing that Marchant moved to midfield.

Jamie George begins at hooker, and Luke Cowan–Dickie is on reserve following Murrayfield's game-changing error.

Ollie Chessum, Leicester forward, could make his debut from the bench.

England team to take on Italy Steward, Malins Marchant, Slade and Nowell; Smith; Randall; Genge; George, Stuart, Ewels Isiekwe Itoje Curry (capt), Dombrandt.

Replacements: Cowan-Dickie, Marler, Sinckler, Chessum, Simmonds, Youngs, Ford, Daly.
