Josh Navidi, a Cardiff flanker, has been selected for the Six Nations games against France and Italy.

Navidi, 31 years old, has now recovered from a shoulder injury. He played his first match in nearly five months in Cardiff’s heavy loss to Ulster in Belfast.

Ellis Jenkins, another Cardiff flanker has been released to take part in the United Rugby Championship matches in South Africa.

Cardiff plays Lions on Sunday, March 13, and Stormers seven-days later.

Navidi was last seen playing for Wales in the 32-30 loss in Paris to France in March 2021. Then, he went on the British Lions tour through South Africa last summer with Ireland and the Irish Lions.

In the 23-19 defeat to England, the starting trio for Wales was Taulupe Faletau, Ross Moriarty and Taine Basham. Jac Morgan replaced them.

The other options are James Ratti, Navidi and Aaron Wainwright for the match against France on 11 March in Cardiff. Wales will host Italy eight days later.

Wales beat Scotland and have lost to England and Ireland so far in 2022 Six Nations.
