Sources — Green Bay Packers TE Robert Tonyan remains on a 1-year contract

The Green Bay PackersTightening the end is back Robert TonyanESPN confirmed that sources had confirmed that the one-year deal was with ESPN.

Tonyan was a star for the Packers in 2020, with career highs of 52 catches, receiving yards (586), and touchdowns (11) in the season. Tonyan only played in eight games last season after he tore his ACL in his left leg on Oct. 28. Arizona Cardinals.

Tonyan, who turns 28 this April, was on a $3.384m restricted free-agent deal. He would have likely been eligible to a much better deal if he had been healthy. His 11 touchdown catch in 2020 tied him for the NFL lead in tight ends with Kansas City. Travis Kelce.

He suffered the injury after a 33 yard reception against the Cardinals. This was a game in that he had three catches totalling 49 yards. He finished the season with 18 receptions for 204 yards and 2 touchdowns.

His injury date makes it unlikely that he’d be available for training camp.
