According to ESPN, Howard University big man Makur Maker, the first five-star recruit to choose to play at a historically Black institution or university, has declared for the 2021 NBA draught.
Maker has established himself as a tremendously capable 6-foot-11 forward who can also play on the perimeter. He only appeared in two games for the Bison previous season due to a groyne ailment. Maker averaged 11.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in those two games.
The team only played five games when the university cancelled the season in early January due to COVID-19 difficulties.
When he chose Howard over UCLA and Kentucky, Maker was the No. 16 high school prospect in the ESPN 100. He was born in Sudan and lived in Australia before migrating to the United States for high school.
