Sources — Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry expected at practice Wednesday

Henry has been able to run on grass with cleats last Monday and the Titans believe he is ready for practice. Henry can now be added to 53-man active roster in 21 days.

Mike Vrabel, Tennessee coach said Monday that Henry’s return was under discussion and the Titans would make a decision by midweek.

Henry was put on injured reserve Nov. 1 after sustaining a fractured foot in his 34-31 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. Indianapolis ColtsWeek 8.

Henry led the NFL in rushing yards at the time of the injury with 937. He ranks sixth this season, despite missing eight games.

D’Onta ForemanSince Henry was out, Tennessee’s record for rushing yards is 497. In eight games Henry has been out, the Titans have a record of 5-3.

Tennessee has no plans for Henry to play in the season finale. Houston TexansThe team hopes to have him back in time for the playoffs.

The No. 1 seed in the conference can be clinched by the AFC South-champion Titans. Houston victory will make the conference’s No.1 seed.
