Curry admitted to reporters that it hurt after Wednesday’s loss on Wednesday night at the Warriors’ road venue of 99-82.
“The feeling it’s giving me right now is not encouraging. [about playing in New Orleans]But we’ll be watching.”
Curry was seen struggling with an injury in the second quarter, but he played 36 minutes and finished with 14 points on 5-for-24 shooting.
Coach Steve Kerr stated that Curry was sitting on the second night in the back-toback. “He had a very bad quad contusion, and these tend to get worse overnight. He has to fly and have everything so there is a possibility he won’t be playing tomorrow.
Curry’s injury happened amid a mini slump. He has shot 8 for 41 (19.5%) over his last two games, his worst field goal percentage over a two-game span in his career, according to ESPN Sports & Information. He scored 23 points, but missed 17 of 19 3-point shots in those two games.
Curry could be seen moving his quad while having it cared for during timeouts. Curry stated that he wasn’t certain if it was an injury that lingers.
Curry stated that the body feeds on the mind. “So I do not hope so.”
