Stuart Hogg reiterated his desire for Exeter to remain in the Premiership.

The departure of the 29-year-old Scotland captain, who is at Sandy Park since 2019, was discussed.

His compatriot Sam Skinner England second row Jonny HillBoth have announced that they will be leaving in the summer when a lower salary cap is introduced.

Hogg explained that “I was fortunate enough to resign last Year during Covid Times and the only thing that wasn’t disclosed was the period we were staying for.”

Hogg said that he was tired of reading the gossip and hearing about my plans.

Hogg led the Chiefs to the European Champions Cup and Premiership doubles in his first season. He also scored a late try last season in the Premiership final loss to Harlequins.

He became Scotland’s leading try-scorer last month and was a part of the British and Irish Lions first two Tests against South Africa this summer.

Hogg stated, “I think it is clear to see in how I’m performing and my smile that I have on my face that this makes me very, very happy.”

“Why would you leave one of Europe’s best clubs?”

“It never crossed me to leave, but it was becoming increasingly annoying and tedious to deal with all the other stuff and I wanted to be free to play rugby.”
