Mike Shanahan and Mike Holmgren are among the Pro Football Hall of Fame finalists.

CANTON (Ohio) — Mike Shanahan and Mike Holmgren were among the 24 senior coaches, contributors, and coaches selected for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2023 class.

Shanahan, the leader of the Denver Broncos Holmgren, who was awarded the Super Bowl title with consecutive wins, won with the Green Bay Packers, are joined by 10 other coaches/contributors, including New England Patriots Robert Kraft, former owner Cleveland Browns/Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell.

This list includes 12 former players, including Ken Anderson (four-time Pro Bowl quarterback) and Sterling Sharpe (five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver).

The 12-person Seniors Committee will meet August 16, where each member will present one finalist. After the final vote, three Seniors will be sent to the full 49-member Selection Committee for consideration at their annual meeting in early 2023. At that meeting, each of these three could be elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
