Antonio was treated for an ankle injury and was on the injury report for the week leading to Sunday’s game. Our medical team cleared Antonio to play before the game started. He also indicated that he would not be able to play at any point during the game.
Antonio has refused to have an evaluation by an orthopedic specialist outside of his office. We’ve tried several times this week. Our organization is committed to the well-being of our players.
Halftime of Sunday’s game against The New York JetsBrown became upset about not being able to get the targets he wanted and needed to be calmed down by a team official, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Brown’s lawyer told ESPN’s Jenna Laine, that Brown was not upset by the lack of targets.
Jason Licht, the Bucs’ general manager, stated to ESPN last week that Brown and his agent asked for $2 million in contract incentives, which was denied by the team.
Licht claimed that Brown did not inform anyone on Sunday by the Bucs medical staff about his ankle problem.
