TikTok sponsors Women’s Six Nations

England celebrate winning the 2021 Six Nations
England won the 2021 Women’s Six Nations title – their 17th title

After a four year deal with TikTok, the Women’s Six Nations now has its own title sponsor.

This competition will be known by the TikTok Six Nations Women’s Competition. The social media platform will also be involved in the Men’s and Under-20s competitions.

Six Nations Rugby organizers wouldn’t disclose the value or the benefits to women’s teams directly. They said that the deal was “not restricted to the women’s sport”.

The deal is expected to be beneficial for each of the six tournament unions.

Although the announcement is a significant step forward in women’s soccer, it still falls far behind women’s football which receives direct investment.

December Barclays increased its sponsorship of the Women’s Super League to £30m over three years.

In its new spring window, the 2022 Women’s Six Nations will be continuing directly after the men’s tournament has concluded.
