Toronto Maple Leafs sign Timothy Liljegren two-year extension

TORONTO — Maple Leafs Monday, signed defenseman Timothy Liljegren A two-year extension of the contract with an average annual worth $1.4 Million.

In 2021-22, the 23-year-old Swede scored 23 points in 61 regular season games for the Maple Leafs. He had five goals and 18 assists. He was also a part of two playoff games.

Toronto selected Liljegren in the 17th round of the 2017 draft.

In 74 regular-season Maple Leafs games, he has scored 24 points (5 goals, 19 assists).

Liljegren played 148 regular-season games for the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies. His total points were 73 (11 goals, 6 assists). With the Marlies, he won a Calder Cup.
