Two matches between England and the United States for women in September

England will be playing two international matches in September to prepare for the Women’s Rugby World Cup in October.

The Red Roses will face the United States at Exeter’s Sandy Park on Saturday 3 September, before facing Wales at Ashton Gate, Bristol, on Wednesday 14 September.

England won the a fourth consecutive Women’s Six Nations championship France won April with 24-12.

The World Cup New Zealand will be held from 8 October until 12 November.

England, two-time winners, is one of the favourites to win this competition. They were drawn in Pool C along with France, South Africa, and Fiji. Wales, on the other hand, are in Pool A while the United States are in Pool B.

The United States game will begin at 15:00 BST. The Wales match, which is the first for Red Roses at Ashton Gate, will begin at 19:30.

Simon Middleton, England’s head coach, stated that these matches were important in preparations for New Zealand. They will be an exciting match.

“We are confident that the West Country and Devon will show up in large numbers, so we hope to put on a show.”
