Johnny Williams will play his first match since November.

The 25 year-old has been able to recover from a calf strain and will now partner Scott Williams, another Wales centre. Williams also returns as captain.

Aaron Shingler is reshuffled into the back row with Kieran Harty, the released Wales scrum half, on his bench.

Connacht also includes Jack Carty, Dave Heffernan and others returning from Ireland camp.

They make six improvements from their defeat against Ulster two-weeks ago. Scrum-half Kieran Martion becomes Connacht’s fifth player with 200 caps.

Johnny Williams was last seen for Wales against Fiji at the Autumn International Series. October’s 50-15 defeat at Leinster.

Wing Tom Rogers has been able to recover from the head knock he received in his last month’s surgery. 27-15 defeat for Scarlets at UlsterTo continue in an unchanged rear three.

Scarlets Head Coach Dwayne Peel keeps the same half back pairing and an unchanged front six among his team.

Shingler is however placed in the back-row by Sione Kalamafoni, who has moved back to number 8.

Carwyn Tuipulotu will be dropped to a bench with Hardy, Rhys Patchell (also a Wales international), and centre Joe Roberts (another returning from injury).

Peel said that the next two home games (Connacht or Glasgow) will be huge for him and they have discussed it.

“I thought it was unfortunate that we didn’t win anything from Ulster during our last game. It was positive in terms of attitude and mentality, but costly self-inflicted mistakes, especially when receiving kick-offs were made. We are looking forward to a great challenge. There is much to improve on.
