“His 2013 pattern was being saved at the laboratory. The laboratory was able to detect a banned substance through reanalyzing the ends of January and February 2019, and the case was opened. Kurbatov said that there were no options, and that everything has been resolved. This was according to feedback from the Tass state information agency.
Nichuskin’s agent received a message last week that was not returned. The Worldwide Ice Hockey Federation can impose a doping suspension, but it would not have any effect on Nichuskin’s NHL participation.
WADA had previously accused Russia of doping. The lab failed to report positive outcomes for selected Russian athletes. In the aftermath of years of doping disputes, Russians were often called Olympic Athletes From Russia at the 2018 Winter Olympics. The Russian team won the gold medal in hockey and will likely be called Russian Olympic Committee at the next yr’s Winter Olympics.
