Waiver wire for fantasy basketball – Johnson, Dosunmu, and many more

To succeed in fantasy basketball, it is crucial to work the waiver wire. We’ll be playing so many games, sustaining injuries, and changing rotations during the marathon campaign, it will be necessary to obtain stats from free agencies to maximize our fantasy rosters.

It can be rewarding to allow competition for the final few spots in your fantasy hoops roster. It is important to compare your end-of-bench players with those available in free agency when curating this dynamic group of statistical contributors.

This weekly series has the goal to identify players at every position that is available in free agency in at minimum a third ESPN leagues. Some nominees can help in just one or two categories while others provide more comprehensive and valuable statistical information. Below are the breakdowns of players. I have ranked them according to priority rather than ESPN league roster percentage.

Point Guard

Anfernee Simons, Portland Trail Blazers(Rostered by 64.5% ESPN leagues)Simons will be sidelined by a quad injury, but it is still a great window to get the rising scoring star. Simons has been a regular starter since then and ranks among the league’s leaders in 3-point production.

Ayo Dosunmu, Chicago Bulls (24.3%): Dosunmu’s unique passing prowess as a second-round rookie has made it a valuable asset. Until Lonzo Ball Alex CarusoThese Illinois products can be used to help fantasy teams.

Shooting Guard

Donte DiVincenzo, Sacramento Kings (37.3%): DiVincenzo’s elite steal rate has been able to emerge because he has had more work in his rotation. There are signs of statistical momentum, as DiVincenzo is a solid rebounder.

Malik Beasley, Minnesota Timberwolves (36.2%):A bucket enjoying more opportunities Anthony EdwardsBeasley, who is ailing, is most likely to be of interest only when his role is elevated.

Small Forward

Josh HartPortland Trail Blazers (50.5%):He’s not as good in scoring, but he still has plenty to rebound and make plays.

Cameron Johnson, Phoenix Suns (25.3%): Johnson is hot from the field and just back from his career debut, Johnson is enjoying being the team’s scoring force. Chris Paul Devin Booker unavailable lately. Johnson will likely enjoy a strong end to the season, even with Booker’s imminent return. This is due to the team’s need to have his shooting gravity without Paul.

Terance Mann, LA Clippers (21.2%): Mann must provide a bit of everything for the Clippers on most nights. He has proven to be productive as a passer and rebounder as well as a defensive option.

Power Forward

Michael Porter Jr., Denver Nuggets (54.8%): It’s time for us to roster “MPJ” for the stretch run, as word has spread that “MPJ” could be back from his back injury within the next few days. Porter’s ability to play a significant role on the floor is not clear. However, the upside of his offensive skillset merits our attention.

Robert Covington, LA Clippers (61.8%)Covington’s incredible block rate is what drives his value. Covington is still able to shoot and steal, but his rim protection rates are center-like makes him a true difference-maker.

Lauri Markkanen, Cleveland Cavaliers (41.3%): The team’s defensive strength is still lacking scoring creation. This helps Markkanen as one of the premier perimeter threats.

Center

P.J. Washington, Charlotte Hornets (64.5%):Washington has enjoyed great fantasy fun as the team’s stretch centre, thanks to their commitment to smaller lineups. While you won’t find any one category captivating, there are enough shooting, scoring, defense and production to make Washington a worthy roster.

Steven Adams, Memphis Grizzlies (48.5%): Adams’s ability to maintain a high assist rate is a plus, especially in a team that values his ability and skill to clear the glass and initiate transition possession using deft outlet passes.
