Wasps have signed Will Haydon-Wood, fly-half from Premiership rivals Newcastle Falcons, for the 2022-23 campaign.

This 21-year old has scored 65 points in 13 games for the Falcons this season.

Haydon-Wood, an England Under-20 international made his Premiership debut in May 2021 against Exeter Chiefs.

Lee Blackett, Wasps’ head coach, said that they have wanted to add another flyhalf to their squad to compliment Charlie Atkinson (and Jacob Umaga)”.

“He’s impressed since breaking through for Newcastle as a starter this season, which was why we’re thrilled to have beat other Premiership clubs and secured his signature for next year.”

We have not yet been able to disclose details about Haydon-Wood’s contract with Wasps.

He said, “Wasps have an extremely talented playing team, and I look forward to being part it next season.”
