As the financial crisis continues, Worcester Warriors players, coaches, and staff have been flooding social media with video messages.

Despite the promises made by the club owners, players still have not been paid for the Premiership season that is just a week away.

Ted Hill, England centre Ollie Laurens and Fin Smith, highly-rated rookie flyhalf are some of those who spoke on Friday.

Lawrence stated, “I hope that the right decisions are made by the people above so that this club can have a future.”

Smith said, “We are just really frustrated now. We haven’t been paid and we don’t feel like we’re getting what our group deserves, so we need answers.”

Ollie Wynn (young scrum-half) has also spoken out about his situation. He is now staying with another member.

He stated, “It shows just how tight we are together as a unit and hopefully it will help us get through this together.”

Steve Diamond, director of rugby, told BBC on Thursday that he is confident the club will be able to compete in the league and that current owners could finance it in the short-term.

As it stands, however, the Warriors won’t be able to fulfill next Saturday’s opening game at London Irish.

Hill was wearing the shirt from last season at the Premiership launch and has yet to purchase new kit.

Premiership Rugby granted the club permission to play without the names on their shirts. This will allow the kit to be reused.

According to sources close to the situation, the bank held-up caused by HMRC freezing the club’s accounts is what is causing the delay in payment of wages.
