A Bug Delayed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s December Event Into January

While Christmas might be cancelled if you are on the naughty lists, for players and NPCs in video games, a simple bug can still cause it to be delayed. At least, that’s what’s happening for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Yule themed update. Some players are still waiting for it to arrive.

Eurogamer reported that Yuletide celebrations, which were due to begin over the holiday period, were delayed by a bug in Eurogamer. It seemed that the bug affected players who took part in the Yuletide celebrations the year before, just after Valhalla launched.

Ubisoft however has confirmed that the title update patch today will resolve the issue for all players. This will allow them to resume the festivities in the game until the end of the event on January 27th.

Players can win a variety of cosmetics during Valhalla’s Yule Festival. They also have the opportunity to compete in side activities such as drunken brawls, archery challenges and other activities. The settlement of Ravensthorpe will be changing throughout the Yule Festival. It now sports Yuletide decorations, and has a more snowy setting.

Although celebrations will be ongoing in-game for several weeks, fans can already look forward the next expansion to the title. Announced by Ubisoft last month, Valhalla’s next story-based add-on Dawn of Ragnarök will launch on March 10. This add-on takes Eivor deeper into Norse mythology, as they assume the role of Odin.

“In Dawn of Ragnarok, players will experience…” [it]Feels like being a God,” Mikhail Lozanov, Ubisoft Sofia stated. “To harness power of defeated enemies is one key addition to the expansion.” You can check out the announcement trailer for Dawn of Ragnarök below.
