Elden Ring’s Minimum Computer Requirements are Interesting to Say The Least

Elden Ring’s Steam page has been updated with the minimum system requirements to run the PC version.

The minimum requirements for a gaming computer to run FromSoftware’s anticipated action RPG were the following: an Intel Core i5-8400, AMD Ryzen 3 3300X or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X CPU and an Nvidia GeForce GTX1060 or AMD Radeon RX580 graphics card.

It was even more surprising that the minimum requirement for a PC required 12GB RAM. Many systems can still be run with around 8GB of RAM, even though 12GB RAM is within reach for many PC gamers. By comparison, Dying Light 2 — which was released earlier this month — only requires 8 GB of RAM.

Elden Ring’s minimum requirements for PC are more stringent than those of previous FromSoftware titles. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is also compatible with an Intel Core i3-2100, AMD FX-6300, 4GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 760, or AMD Radeon HD 7950.

At the time of writing, Elden Ring’s minimum requirements for PC systems have been removed by Steam. Bandai Namco was contacted by IGN to provide comment.

Bandai Namco will soon be sharing the complete list of system requirements required to run Elden Ring, which is due out in just two weeks.
