The online shooter Gundam Evolution was shown today in the Sony State of Play stream. It also got a new gameplay video and confirmation that it will be released simultaneously in Western Europe later this year. The US and Japan will receive a network test sometime in the spring.
Gundam Evolution, a free-to play FPS with six players competing in objective-based gaming modes, is available for download. As shown in the trailer, you can control a variety mobile suits with different combat abilities.
Gundam Evolution features three game modes. The first involves teams fighting for a control point. The second sees them fighting simultaneously over three points. While the third has them fighting for a rotating control point. Finally, the final mode has one team trying destroy an object the other is protecting.
Gundam Evolution was first announced in July last year. However, a Japanese network test of Gundam Evolution had been completed, so a Western release was not confirmed at that time. Today's reveal confirms that the game will be coming to PlayStation 4 as well as 5G.
