The distinctive, hand-drawn comic-book look of the Borderlands series is what has defined it more than any other aspect. This is the series' defining characteristic. The guns, of course. The loot. The humor. The look is unique in its beauty, and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands carries the same art style as the mainline series.
Borderlands' overall style can be best described as “cartoonish, sci-fi outerspace western,” while Wonderlands is closer towards “cartoonish, sci-fi inner space western with fantasy components.” Below is a slideshow that shows some of the concept art used to create Wonderlands' unique look.
