Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure has a new fighting game, Jojo’s All Star Battle R. It will be available in the fall 2022.
This news was made public during the March 2022 State of Play presentation on PlayStation 4/5. The game's versions for PC, Xbox One/Series X|S, and Switch platforms have also been confirmed for release by publisher Bandai Namco. The game will have 50 characters that can be played from the different manga arcs.
All Star Battle R uses the fighting system from 2013's Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure All Star Battle. A PlayStation blog post was published shortly after the presentation. It noted that the new game would “reinvigorate your experience with adjustments in the fighting tempo, and the addition hit stops and jump dashes.” All Star Battle R will have new audio recordings by voice actors in Part 6.
All Star Battle Mode will be available, as well as Arcade Mode online mode, Versus Mode online mode, Versus Mode practice mode, and Gallery Mode.
Many games that are based on Hirohiko's manga series have been published in addition to the anime series. In 1993, the first game was released: an RPG for Super Famicom. It never saw release outside Japan.
It would go on to make its debut as a fighting title in 1998 by releasing Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure for arcades. The original PlayStation received an update in the year 2000, Heritage for the Future.
Last Survivor was the latest Jojo video game. However, the battle royale title was only released to arcades in 2019.
This year marks both the 35th anniversary and 10th anniversary the original story. Stone Ocean, the latest arc of anime, hit Netflix last December. IGN gave it a 10/10.
