Never Alone 2 Announced by IGN

Never Alone 2 is now officially in production. A sequel to the 2015 BAFTA-winning platformer is currently in preproduction.

The trailer below shows the news. It also features the original Never Alone on Nintendo Switch. This will arrive on February 24th in the form Arctic Collection, which includes the base-game as well as Foxtales DLC.

The trailer ends in a brief teaser. It shows a number 2, hovering above a snowy landscape, as we hear a giggle from a fox and a bark.

Never Alone is not only a platformer but also collaborates with Alaska Natives to promote knowledge about indiginous culture. IGN called Never Alone “a charming puzzle platformer” that should be played, and it won the 2015 Gaming BAFTA award for Best Debut.

Alan Gershenfeld (co-founder of Developer E-Line Media) said: “We're pleased to announce we've started pre-production on Never Alone 2, building upon the same inclusive developmental partnership for sharing, celebrating and celebrating Alaska Native cultures and storytelling with an international audience.”

Never Alone 2 was not mentioned much else, but it will likely feature similar puzzle platforming gameplay set in a world rich with traditional Alaska Native culture. It can be played solo or in coop.

Gershenfeld stated that the Switch release will be released on the Nintendo Switch. “Working with Cook Inlet Tribal Council, the larger Alaska Native community, and the E-Line Team has been truly inspiring. We are excited to bring Never Alone Arctic Collection to Nintendo Switch, an ideal platform to play the game's co-op gameplay, which is culturally rich.”
