Nintendo Swaps Paper Mario Online

Nintendo will add N64’s Paper Mario as a Swap On-line Growth Pack next week.

Nintendo shared the news via Twitter that the N64 will become the latest sport that Swap Online subscribers with a premium membership can access. Paper Mario will be available starting December 10th.

Paper Mario was first launched on the N64 in 2000. It became the first in a series of Paper Mario spinoff titles. This new look quickly gained popularity with both critics and fans alike. It featured paper-thin characters, RPG style gameplay and turn-based fighting. The Nintendo Swap launched Paper Mario: The Origami King as the latest addition to the Mario series.

Nintendo announced earlier this month that it will continue to improve and expand its Swap online service. This pledge was made shortly after Nintendo launched its Premium Growth Pack membership. It experienced a difficult start after facing backlash from its followers.

This service was launched in October and grants users access to a growing number of N64/Sega Mega Drive video games, as well as paid DLC (currently in the form of the Animal Crossing – Completely Happy Residence Paradise package) at a premium price.

Followers have had a variety of complaints. The most common complaints were about enter lag and sound delays. Although Nintendo has not specifically mentioned the backlash of its followers as a reason for wanting to improve the service, the corporate will likely be hoping that additional N64 video games such as Paper Mario will increase response.
