Samsung announced its cloud gaming platform last October, during the SDC21 keynote presentation.
Samsung’s Gaming Hub, a platform service that allows you to play video games on your TV with no need for a gaming console or PC, was announced as part of its CES 2022 announcements. Samsung confirmed that Utomik and Google Stadia, Nvidia’s GeForce Now and Google Stadia will be launch partners for Gaming Hub. The three services are powered by Tizen, Samsung’s Linux-based mobile OS system. More services are expected to follow in the future.

Microsoft is facing some competition from Samsung Gaming Hub, having announced last year that the Xbox division will be moving beyond consoles to bring its Xbox experience to smart TVs and streaming sticks. Although Samsung has not yet named Xbox as a partner in the Gaming Hub, it will still be fascinating to see if they partner in this new venture.
Samsung Gaming Hub will soon be available for select 2022 smart TVs manufactured by the tech giant.
