Tomorrow’s State of Play Broadcast

Sony has announced that a State of Play broadcast will be held tomorrow, Wednesday March 9th. It will feature “new reveals” and “eye-catching updates” on PS4 and PS5 titles.

The broadcast will last approximately 20 minutes and begin at 2pm Pacific/ 5pm Eastern/ 10pm UK (that is March 10th at 9am AEDT). The show will also be available on YouTube and Twitch.

Sony clarifies that the show will not feature any PSVR 2 hardware details or PSVR 2 game details. This special focus will be on Japanese-published games.

Many will be hoping Square Enix will be one such publisher, with the hope of seeing Final Fantasy 16 more often. It was originally announced in 2020 as a PS5 exclusive. However, basic development had been completed the following year. We haven’t seen much since due to COVID-related slowdowns. It seems now is the right time.

The last State of Play was February when Sony released a deep dive into Gran Turismo 7. This show will probably feature new games, as well as new reveals.
