Bevan Rodd from Uncapped Sale, who also qualifies for Scotland has been called into England’s squad to take on Australia rather than the isolationist Joe Marler.

Rodd, 21 years old, was born in Scotland but has represented England at the age-grade stage. A senior cap would entitle him to Eddie Jones’ side.

England has not returned any optimistic Covid-19 endings in their latest checks.

Marler, who came off the bench in Saturday’s win over Tonga on Saturday, tested positive for Covid on Monday evening.

Following a disappointing end result, Owen Farrell’s win against Tonga was not achieved. later shown to be a ‘false positive’.

An additional member of England’s backroom staff examined the optimism last week.

Marler’s optimistic review was overturned on Sunday. The 34 players named in England’s team were told that they would all stay at camp for the whole week and not be released to their golf clubs.

According to the Rugby Soccer Union, the transfer would “improve Covid resilience within the group’s boundaries”.
