Houston Texans anticipate WR Brandin Cooks will return to practice

Houston Texans Large receiver Brandin Cooks Is expected to practice Thursday for his first practice since last week’s NFL Trade Deadline.

Lovie Smith, Texans coach said Wednesday that Cooks would be fully involved in Houston’s remaining practices.

Cooks did not participate in Thursday’s loss to the 49ers by 17 Philadelphia Eagles Personal reasons. The nine-year-old veteran was unhappy that he wasn’t traded before the deadline. He vented his frustrations via Twitter.

Cooks: “Don’t take another man’s kindness for granted.” tweeted A few minutes after Nov. 1 deadline expired, the email was received. “Covered for the lies too long those days have ended. “I crossed the line by playing with my profession.”

Cooks’ 2023 contract, which will pay him $18million fully guaranteed, was the biggest obstacle to any possible trade.

Cooks attended Wednesday’s practice but did not physically participate as it was his usual veteran off day. Cooks leads the Texans in receiving yards with 354 and 32 respectively.
