LeBron James surprises his students at I Promise School just before summer vacation

LeBron James Has been busy at the court since the Los Angeles Lakers He did not make it to the postseason this season. He enjoyed a vacation to the Maldives With his family in April engaged in a Twitter Q&A With his followers a few week ago, saw Bronny off to the prom.

James visited his I Promise School in Akron on Wednesday to visit the students and spend some time before summer vacation ends.

“I appreciate you all letting me crash your last day at school!” I love you all, and wish you a safe and enjoyable summer. James shared his thoughts in an interview. Instagram post on Wednesday.

The students seemed surprised at his surprise visit given all the happy faces he encountered upon his arrival. James shared hugs, took pictures and shared stories with both the students and the staff. The 37 year old appeared to enjoy the reactions to James’ arrival. He retweeted a clip of the children welcoming him, complete with laughing emojis.

James opened the I Promise School 2018 In 2018, the school was specifically focused on reaching out to youth at risk in his community. James also made arrangements for students to receive tuition free of charge at the University of Akron after they have completed the school’s program. Other initiatives at I Promise School include a program designed for parents of students not completing their high school education or another that assists high-school students with college preparation.

James envisions 1,200 students graduating from the program by 2029.
