Sources — Boston Celtics make Dennis Schroder and Enes Freedom available to Houston Rockets in exchange for Daniel Theis

However, his name was a hot topic in the days before the deadline, as Boston tried to get out of the luxury tax.

Theis, who was with the Celtics for the first three seasons of his NBA basketball career before being sent out in a deal to reduce the luxury tax at last years trade deadline, now comes back to Boston.

After signing a $46 million contract for four years with the Rockets, the German-born big man was limited in his Houston appearances after the Rockets granted him a free agency this summer.
