Nintendo Is Creating a Variety of Projects for Kirby’s 30th Birthday

Nintendo will be celebrating Kirby’s 30th Anniversary this year with a “variety” of projects. The first is a free wallpaper that will be released on the game’s official site.

Nintendo’s most recent financial results talk about Kirby and The Forgotten Land’s upcoming release, before moving on to the anniversary of the series.

Nintendo said, “To commemorate that anniversary, I am planning a variety projects in collaboration with HAL Laboratory Kirby developers, aimed to share the charme of the Kirby series With Many People,”

Although the report does not provide any additional information about these projects, Nintendo of America started the celebrations by tweeting that a free Kirby wallpaper was now available for download from its website.

Tweet: “Keep tuned for #Kirby30 news coming soon.”

When Kirby and The Forgotten Land is released on March 25, it will be known as one of these celebrations. It marks the first 3D action game in the mainline Kirby series.

Nintendo celebrated The Legend of Zelda’s 25th Anniversary last year by announcing Skyward Sword HD for Switch and the release of themed Joy-Cons.

However, Nintendo is unlikely to announce a sequel with the release of a major Kirby game on Switch.

Kirby’s Dream Land, which was the series’ original game, was released April 27, 1992. Nintendo might use that exact anniversary to announce its entire celebration plans.
