Game Freak developed Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It takes players back to the time before the Sinnoh area was expanded into the region it is today in the Diamond and Pearl games. You will need to travel across a wide open area and find wild Pokemon to complete the first Pokedex.

While exploring, you can sneak up on Pokemon to throw a Poke Ball at them to try and catch them. You can weaken them by throwing a Poke Ball with one of your Pokemon at them. Then, a turn-based battle will start. This game takes place in the future, so the Poke Balls that you use are made from wood. Steam is released when you capture a creature.
You will receive the starter Pokemon from a professor, who has picked them up on a trip through different regions. You’ll discover the truth about Arceus, a legendary Pokemon who “shaped everything in this world,” during your journey. Sounds heavy.
