Sio Tomkinson: Dragons sign New Zealander back to the team for next season

Sio Tompkinson scores a try
Sio Tomkinson started his career with Otago, before he made his Highlanders debut in 2017.

Dragons sign Sio Tomkinson, a skilled New Zealander back for the 2022/23 season.

The 25-yearold can play centre or on the wing. After having played spells with Highlanders in Super Rugby, Otago and Otago, Rodney Parade will welcome him.

He represented the All Blacks at under 20s, including at 2016 Junior World Championship in England.

Tomkinson stated, “I’m looking forward to going to Wales later in this year to join up the Dragons.”

“Since I left school, I have had the opportunity to play for two New Zealand rugby teams and be involved in professional rugby.

“I have made many great friends and both teams mean much to me. However, it’s now time for a new chapter.

Dean Ryan, Dragons director, said: “This is an amazing opportunity for us to bring in a player who has a huge attacking threat as well as strike power from southern hemisphere.”

“Sio has been a great player in Super Rugby, and now he’s excited to start a new chapter with us and make a huge impact.”
