Capcom Announces Dinosaur Battling Action Game Exoprimal

The opening of Sony’s State of Play wasn’t a new Dino Crisis video game. However, it was Exoprimal, a new IP by Capcom that focused on fighting dinosaurs.

The trailer showed us a futuristic city with portals that keep dropping huge amounts of dinosaurs into its metro area. This is where futuristic soldiers known as Exofighters must battle them. You’ll be able team up with friends to fire a bunch futuristic guns at hundreds dinosaurs, according to a disclaimer at one end of the trailer.

A closer look at the PlayStation Blog reveals that Exoprimal is set in 2043. This is when mysterious vortexes opened up and released armies of dinosaurs into modern times. Exofighters must have Exosuits in their possession to be able use them. Each suit is unique and has its own specialization. The Exosuits can be changed at any moment during missions, and players can alter their team composition and their powers as well.

Exoprimal is a multiplayer, cooperative game. Teams will likely change their suits frequently as they face new challenges and dinosaurs. Here’s a new update about the official TwitterExoprimal matches, which will see two teams of five people fighting against the dinosaurs in Exoprimal matches, will only have one winner.
